I listened to this on my way to work this morning. This is when I normally listen to your podcasts. I had a lot of yesses and amens, but my mental notes rarely stick with me once I start doing work stuff. Anyway, I just want to let you know how much I appreciate you. I am easily swept up in the issues of the day, and always ready for a fight, at least until I’m in one. haha. I have some unhealed issues that I apparently need to do the thing my therapist has suggested that I don’t want to do. But I digress. Now I remember something that I came away with listening to this podcast this morning. As you were talking about the true self and false self, I started thinking about how I often don’t know which is which in me. That’s when I have to make the choice to follow Jesus through the power and guidance of the Holy Spirit. Regardless of who I think I am, I am first a child of God and a follower of Christ. And that means going against either self sometimes to do what the Father wills, and the Spirit leads in order to do good to and for others as Jesus did for me. Which I often balk at or refuse, but sometimes I do the thing that I might not want to do. And I have never regretted doing what the Holy Spirit leads me to do. So, anyway, that was a very wordy thank you for what you do because if no one else appreciates your podcasts, I do. 🙂

We are like CERTS, “two mints in one”. I enjoy your perspective. I believe we service a wild and wonder-filled God. Continue to venture outside of the lines, cause my default is usually to stay within those lines others have drawn for me.
