Contending for the logic of my faith

If I really believe this thing called Christianity. . . then I better follow out the logic of my faith.

If I’ve been set free from the power of death and sin. . . If I’ve been filled to overflowing with the Holy Spirit. . . . If my future is eternal bliss with my Heavenly Father. . . . If I cannot add a single ounce of beauty to what God has already done for me. . . . If I’m truly free in Jesus Christ. . . . If I don’t need anything else but Jesus. . . . Then I shall rejoice!

Yes!  I shall rejoice!  So what is to be done with my old friends fear and condemnation?

Well. . . I cannot serve you anymore.  I cannot serve the fiction of anxiety and despair.  The reality of Christ beckons me to a better conclusion.

Today I will dance before the lover of my soul.  I will dance. . . and I will dance. . . among the ruins. . . . among the trials. . . . among the desolate rebellions of man. . . I will dance and be satisfied by the reality of my existence.

I was not created for fear!  No one can take my joy.  My joy is rooted in the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

I will not wait for anyone else to begin the dance!  No it is my right, privilege, and responsible to join in with my Creator’s song.  Even if the world stands still. . . . I will dance.

Oh that the saints would listen to the song of our redemption.

Thank you Jesus 🙂
